Everyone,
It’s been a super busy writing season offline, some of which I’ll be sharing here in the weeks to come. But in the meantime, Taking Off and Landing continues on. Twice a week1, I do one piece for everyone, and one piece which is for supporting subscribers.
If you’re a supporting subscriber, all 300+ pieces that I’ve done over the last three years are there for you to read. You help me justify time writing, thinking, and putting thoughtful moral reflection into the world.
But let me tell you about the best part of being a supporting subscriber lately:
For the last two months, I’ve been hosting a slow walk through Alisdair MacIntyre’s After Virtue, and it has been an absolute blast. We’ve had between several people coming each time, spending their Monday evening nerding out over moral philosophy, what it means to have a good life, and whether communities of virtue are even possible. The conversations have been rich, thought-provoking, and something I look forward to each month.
I mean, look at this. You know you want in on this conversation:
As of today, 3,500 of you have signed up to read the public writing, and I’m blown away. Thank you for the time to read, and for coming along. In honor of that, I’m doing a 48 hour, 50% off sale, through Friday midnight for all annual supporting subscriptions. That price will be good forever.
If that’s not you, no worries: I’m grateful you’re here. I’ll try to keep it interesting regardless.
Til next time,
MPMW
In the best possible world. I’ll actually make it this week.
