It’s not a pleasure read, for sure, and best suited in select bites. If you get the gist of the rules in the appendix and know the themes they presuppose, it can be read in pieces as needed.
Maybe that's the approach I should take. Jamieson was kind enough to write to me about my doctoral thesis back when he was completing his, which is a surefire way to pique my interest in anyone's work!
